Fridail: Barry M New Gelly's!

Hey there!
Thanks for stopping by ^^ Welcome to the Fridail post- this week I've swatched up two of the new Barry M Gelly's for you!
For those of you who may not have heard, Barry M released 3 new Gelly shades- all pastel colours, of blue, green and pink. They're nearly so pastel that they're an off-white. Nearly...
Picture taken from Barry M's Facebook Page.
Left to Right: Huckleberry, Rose Hip and Sugar Apple

The shades I went for are Huckleberry and Sugar Apple, cause let's face it, I'm really not one for a pink, never mind a pale pink!

The first one I swatched was Huckleberry! (Uh Oh-Typo on the bottle!) And I apologise for the pictures in advance because they are not only super-messy but were also taken using my phone instead of my camera! Sorry guys! <3

Sunlight! Isn't it pretty!?
As you can probably tell from the pics, the lighting makes a huuuuuge difference in how vibrant the colour is. I'm sure your skin tone probably will too! I have a slight olive tinge to my skin, so I don't usually stray towards pastels because they just... Don't really work...  But I quite like this blue! Especially in the sunlight! :) Remember what I said before, about them being so pastel that they're almost an off-white? Look at the top two pictures of this shade- see what I mean?

Now on to the pretty green!
Sugar Apple is also an awesome shade, though kinda similar to the blue. I seriously had to look twice to see if I'd actually changed the colour.

Once again, apologies for the extremely messy mani xD But look at that colour! Isn't it lovely? It's like the inside of a mint cream! (Mmm....) Once again, the colour was slightly more vibrant in natural light, but I didn't have any available to me because of cloudy weather (silly English weather!) so just image a very slightly greener version of the above!

In Conclusion...
These polishes are very nice, and paint on just as well as the other Gelly polishes! Which means that they also have the same issue of some light and dark patches. But they are still just as amazing, and still only £3.99 at Superdrug, Boots or BarryM.com.
The colours are also so different form the rest of the collection, so they're a great addiction even for you nail polish addicts!
Hope you liked today's post, don't forget to leave a comment below letting me know what you think, and share the page with your friends! ^^
Bye for now!
~Rachel

The Random Sunday Post!

Hello everyone! This is a super quick random post just to say I'm back and also what will be coming up this week! So, I'm still due a Blue Nails post for the British Nail Blogger's Colour Me Crazy Challenge- this will be up tomorrow instead of a Book/Lifestyle post! From Wednesday, the normal posts will resume, so you can expect a Pink Mani on this day for this week's challenge nails! Then on Thursday, it's A Level results day, which means a lot of nervous stressy things to sort out, and I may not have time to write up a post in time for Friday- but I will definitely try, and also update you all in my potential University place! If there is a post on Friday, it'll be a typical naily post- probably a swatch of something! And that is all I think you need to know! Good Luck to anyone else getting results on Thursday! ~Rachel

Your Guide to Barry M Gelly's!

Finally , the time has come for the ever-promised "Barry M Gelly Polishes Review & Swatch" Post! YAY! Now, now, settle down, settle down, and prepare yourself for an image-heavy post! Panorama View? Yes please... Okay, so that picture isn't too great. But there's the colours that between us (Me and Rhian) have in the Gelly range. We're only missing "Grapefruit" I think...

Wail: Birthday Blue!

Hi everyone! So it was my 18th birthday yesterday, hence why this post is a little late! But I have a fun post for you all to enjoy :) Introducing to you- my birthday mani! I love love love these polishes- I think I've only used them once each, but wow, they're just amazing and I definitely need to use them more. Apologies for the little bit of tip-wear, it's been on since Saturday (so, 5 days between application and the picture taking!) so the wear on these polishes is actually very good! The first polish is Rimmel London's Salon Pro by Kate, in the shade "Britpop" which is such a fun name! The colour is also absolutely stunning, it's such a rich blue, but is kinda bright at the same time and a borderline dark teal colour. The brush for application is also pretty wide, which makes coverage super easy in only one to two strokes! There's another bonus too- the polish is very shiny even before a top coat! Totally recommend this polish, a
