Wail: Party Nails!

Hey there!
Welcome to Wednesday's Nail-a-riffic post! (New word- like it?)
So, it was one of my best friend's 18th birthday on Monday, and she had a party on Saturday (fun times!) You know what that means? Well, a coordinated manicure of course! Since it was a party, I felt that I had to follow a rule... SPARKLES! I love sparkles!

I was wearing this little number that I got from New Look some time last year along with some gold jewellery, and so I went with green and gold mani to match nicely.

I'm not going to lie here... The polish I ended up using? I forgot I had it! It was one of those epiphanies that you get when trying to go to sleep, and just have to sort it out there and then, so I did!
The main polish I chose was Revlon's Moon Candy, in the shade Meteor and darn I forgot how much I loved it! It's just so pretty and fitting and the glitter-part of it is holographic glitter flakes, which help to bring out the darker coloured polish that is used as a base. It's beautiful!

As you can see here, I did a quick gold sparkling highlight nail, using Barry M's Royal Textured Glitters in the shade Majesty. It was the perfect complementary colour with the green, I reckon! And it was so sparkly, which is always a plus... Always.

I just love the Moon Candy so much. Gah! Why/How did I forget about it!? /sigh/ I think you'll be seeing it again quite soon!
On another note, the party was super fun, and I wasn't ill the day after (though the birthday girl was muahaha!) And four of us went out to a pub on the Monday for some food, so I baked a cake, and would just like to share it with you before I disappear back into the world that is real life...
Yay, cake!
Finally, though, I sorted all of my nail polish out, popped it into a spreadsheet, which you can see too! So let me know if you want anything in particular swatched or featured. You can find the link in the normal menu-bar thingy, or just for a bit of ease, you can....

Happy 2nd Blogiversary!

Hey everyone! It's officially the 2nd year of blogging over here on Nail Parade,  and I honestly can't believe that this is it, the two year mark already. I remember sitting in sixth form deciding to do this as a bit of a 'why not' thing and here I am now sitting in my room in Manchester still writing it, and loving it, after two whole years. It's really crazy!

Return of the Blogger

Howdy! How are you all? Me? I'm great! My second year of university is (finally) over, and I am so, so ready for the summer to get started - although the Manchester weather seems to be preventing this. The nail course I was doing is also over, so I'm one step closer to becoming a nail technician if my degree happens to go down the pothole (which hopefully it doesn't, because the world needs animals now more than ever in my opinion). So basically, I'm back to being 99% stress free, and extremely bored with hardly anything to do. And so, I have returned to you delightful people (if you are still there) and to any of you who join me to walk on the path of Nail Parade from this point forwards. What's the plan then? I'm gonna mess around with the blog layout a little, to start with, I think! I'm also planning lots of exciting swatches, and nail art funs for you all mixed in with the occasional book review, travel and lifestyle posts, as always, and probably...

Your Guide to Barry M Gelly's!

Finally , the time has come for the ever-promised "Barry M Gelly Polishes Review & Swatch" Post! YAY! Now, now, settle down, settle down, and prepare yourself for an image-heavy post! Panorama View? Yes please... Okay, so that picture isn't too great. But there's the colours that between us (Me and Rhian) have in the Gelly range. We're only missing "Grapefruit" I think...
