Mega-Haul!

Hi everyone!
Hope you're all having a wonderful Tuesday, (yes, a post on a Tuesday!), and have entered the giveaway already... If not you still have 11 days, so don't worry!

Anyway, I had a little walk into Manchester city centre on Saturday, and managed to stumble my way into a couple of shops. Actually... literally a couple of shops. I went into two shops. And bought a decent amount of stuff.. For approximately £98... (Thankfully I have a student loan- yay!)
Here's a run-down of what I bought...

My first stop then, was in Superdrug in the Arndale centre, where I entered with the intention of leaving with all the new Barry M polishes. Well, they didn't have them out. But they had the new Models Own Diamond Luxe polishes all laid out looking spectacular, so I grabbed a few... Ahem... Six. I grabbed six. From left to right these are: Heart Red, Asscher Blue, Oval Plum, Carat Coral, Emerald Green and Purple Pear. These cost £5 each, but Superdrug had a "Buy One Get One 1/2 Price" offer on, so I only spent around £22!
I did a quick swatchy-swatchy on a sheet of paper, and oh my days. I am in love with these SO much. I can't wait to show you all some proper-swatches! (One polish at a time, as always!)

Next I decided to wander to the next nearest Superdrug- just in case they had some Barry M's. But on the way I spotted a Debenhams, so I entered the store in hope of finding a pretty new OPI set. It seems they had 10% off all beauty items on Saturday, and I soon found myself being drawn to the Urban Decay stand, where I walked away around 30 minutes later the proud owner of 2 new eyeshadow palettes.

The questions running through my mind whilst standing at the stall included that of "Should I buy any at all? Should I get one or two? Should I even get the electric palette? Should I just go for Naked 3?" Well, as you can see, I settled on two palettes after convincing myself that I had a £25 voucher I could use, plus it's not 10% off very often and I probably won't get the opportunity again. Also, I chose the Electric Palette to add some awesome colours to my eyeshadow collection, then chose which Naked palette would work best with it. As much as I absolutely love the Naked 3 palette with all the rosey hues, both the Urban Decay woman and myself decided that this palette would work best with the electric because of it's more neutral brown, gold and silver tones.

The Naked 2 palette contains 12 eyeshadow shades, a double ended brush and even came with 4 primer samples that should be good for around 3-5 days each, depending on how much you use.
If you want a list of the shade names comment below and I'd be happy to provide that for you! This palette usually costs £37 from Debenhams, Boots, House of Fraser and other similar department stores.

The Electric palette contains 10 striking eyeshadow shades and a different double-ended brush. Again if you want a list of shade names, let me know! This palette costs £1 more than the Naked 2, usually, weighing in at a £38 cost. Totally worth it in my opinion!
I've been using these palettes together the past couple of days and am pretty darn impressed with the results, so I may post a couple of eye-look images on facebook or twitter in the next week or so. :)

I finally made it to the Superdrug I was aiming to go to, just to spend even more money. They had all 3 of the new Barry M silks, the two new Aquarium shades, and 2 remaining Glitterati polishes. I snatched most of these up to add to my collection...

Left to Right: Silk "Orchid", Silk "Forest", Silk "Poppy", Glitterati "Socialite", Glitterati "Rockstar" and Aquarium "Persian"
These were £3.99 each I do believe!

And I didn't stop there... I also snatched up a couple of Nicole by OPI's for £7.99 each, from the Carrie Underwood collection.

Left is "Fisher Queen" which is a deep slightly metallic purple, and on the right we have "Carrie'd Away" which is a cute play-on-words describing a pretty gold glitter polish!

So yeah, I managed to sweep up a grand total of 14 polishes and 2 eyeshadow palettes (with a total of 22 eyeshadows) for a mere £98! I'm pretty happy with that if I do say so myself...

Keep your eyes peeled on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram for eye-makeup-looks, and sneak peaks at swatches, whilst also checking back here every Monday, Wednesday and Friday for some swatches of the polishes you've seen here!
Thanks for reading, see you tomorrow!

The Random Sunday Post!

Hello everyone! This is a super quick random post just to say I'm back and also what will be coming up this week! So, I'm still due a Blue Nails post for the British Nail Blogger's Colour Me Crazy Challenge- this will be up tomorrow instead of a Book/Lifestyle post! From Wednesday, the normal posts will resume, so you can expect a Pink Mani on this day for this week's challenge nails! Then on Thursday, it's A Level results day, which means a lot of nervous stressy things to sort out, and I may not have time to write up a post in time for Friday- but I will definitely try, and also update you all in my potential University place! If there is a post on Friday, it'll be a typical naily post- probably a swatch of something! And that is all I think you need to know! Good Luck to anyone else getting results on Thursday! ~Rachel

Mail: Messy Mani

Hello! Let it be known that from this day forth, any nail posts posted on Mondays shall be known as "Mail's". Yay! For the first "Mail" post, I'm going to be sharing one of my new purchases with you... Model's Own's "Erase" Corrector Pen! I feel like this could be a major turning point in my blog's image quality, as I no longer have an excuse for messy mani's.  Though I'd first like to point out that I feel like I have come quite far since the beginning of my blog, and no longer post images such as this... I mean, just look at that thumb!? (Polish is Barry M Spring Green) ...Except for today, I'm posting a very (purposefully) messy mani, to show you how the corrector pen can work! Also please keep in mind that I actually did this mani pretty much in the dark, around midnight the other day. :D I quite enjoyed being super careless with my painting, actually. Is that wrong of me? Also, you m

Wail: Birthday Blue!

Hi everyone! So it was my 18th birthday yesterday, hence why this post is a little late! But I have a fun post for you all to enjoy :) Introducing to you- my birthday mani! I love love love these polishes- I think I've only used them once each, but wow, they're just amazing and I definitely need to use them more. Apologies for the little bit of tip-wear, it's been on since Saturday (so, 5 days between application and the picture taking!) so the wear on these polishes is actually very good! The first polish is Rimmel London's Salon Pro by Kate, in the shade "Britpop" which is such a fun name! The colour is also absolutely stunning, it's such a rich blue, but is kinda bright at the same time and a borderline dark teal colour. The brush for application is also pretty wide, which makes coverage super easy in only one to two strokes! There's another bonus too- the polish is very shiny even before a top coat! Totally recommend this polish, a
