BOHEM Nails!*

*This post contains an item supplied by BOHEM Nails in exchange for an honest review. This item is the silver nail jewellery piece.

Hi folks!

Sometime last week I was offered some BOHEM nails to review- so here I am, and here's the review!
(Don't forget that you can click on any of the images to increase the size of them!)

This here, is a BOHEM nail. They're adorable statement pieces made of 925 sterling silver (though some are 24 carat gold plated) and designed as a re-usable accent nail. With the pair you receive a black window box to store them in, a nail buffer, a polishing cloth, 12 super-strong adhesive tabs and an application guide.

When I first saw these in-person, my thoughts were "Omg, how is that chunk of metal going to stay on my nail with those little glue tabs!?" I must say though, I was definitely pleasantly surprised. Another thought I had was "How am I going to get through my day with this on my nail!?" though again, I was pleasantly surprised and was able to do literally everything I would've normally done.
Typing on the computer- check.
Writing with a pen- check.
Texting- check.
Everything else- check.

I paired my accent nail with Nicole by OPI's "Cinna-man of my dreams" gumdrops polish. The slightly golden tone and glitters in the polish along with the neutral tone of it really helped the BOHEM nail pop, I think. Plus, there's a bit of a difference in the length of my natural nails and the silver piece- but again, I personally feel like it definitely works!

As you can see, the nail is in fact almost 1cm taller than my natural nail. But who cares!? I loved it. Different styles of nails come in different lengths- I think the more square and rounded shaped styles are generally a bit shorter than the pointed ones.
The "M" you see here is referring to the size of the BOHEM nail- they come in "S" (small), "M" (medium) and "L" (large), and the size is to do with the width of your nail. They have a handy sizing guide if you're interested.

Application is also super easy. There's a handy video and instructions page on their website, too, and if you follow this, then your nail could stay on for up to 3 days. Mine stayed on from around 8am when I applied it, until around 5pm when I took it off, without budging even a bit. It wasn't even loose when I tried knock it, and I'd been tapping my nails on desks all day (it makes such a satisfying sound). Also, the adhesive tab didn't leave a mark or any damage to my natural nail, which is a definite bonus- I'm always wary using glue products for these reasons, but I'll definitely, happily use these again.

All the people I specifically showed my nails to this day were amazed by the statement piece, and thought it was nice and chic, modern and definitely a quirky feature for your nails. I'm still amazed that it didn't hinder anything during the day!

Are you ready to make a statement? I reckon BOHEM nails could be a great new trend for nights out, festive parties and even weddings very soon- so if you want to check them out yourself and maybe even bag yourself a pair, they sell directly on their website and also on Amazon

You can also buy a sheet of the adhesive tabs separately, so you can keep on re-using your pair of nails!

In conclusion of this essay-like post, I definitely recommend BOHEM nails, and have actually just ordered 3 more pairs from Amazon. Though I'm not sure I'd wear this set of nails during the day again (simply because of the mismatching length), I'll definitely be using them to accessorise my nails at parties and on nights out.

Let me know what you think of these beauties in the comments below!

The Random Sunday Post!

Hello everyone! This is a super quick random post just to say I'm back and also what will be coming up this week! So, I'm still due a Blue Nails post for the British Nail Blogger's Colour Me Crazy Challenge- this will be up tomorrow instead of a Book/Lifestyle post! From Wednesday, the normal posts will resume, so you can expect a Pink Mani on this day for this week's challenge nails! Then on Thursday, it's A Level results day, which means a lot of nervous stressy things to sort out, and I may not have time to write up a post in time for Friday- but I will definitely try, and also update you all in my potential University place! If there is a post on Friday, it'll be a typical naily post- probably a swatch of something! And that is all I think you need to know! Good Luck to anyone else getting results on Thursday! ~Rachel

Your Guide to Barry M Gelly's!

Finally , the time has come for the ever-promised "Barry M Gelly Polishes Review & Swatch" Post! YAY! Now, now, settle down, settle down, and prepare yourself for an image-heavy post! Panorama View? Yes please... Okay, so that picture isn't too great. But there's the colours that between us (Me and Rhian) have in the Gelly range. We're only missing "Grapefruit" I think...

Wail: Birthday Blue!

Hi everyone! So it was my 18th birthday yesterday, hence why this post is a little late! But I have a fun post for you all to enjoy :) Introducing to you- my birthday mani! I love love love these polishes- I think I've only used them once each, but wow, they're just amazing and I definitely need to use them more. Apologies for the little bit of tip-wear, it's been on since Saturday (so, 5 days between application and the picture taking!) so the wear on these polishes is actually very good! The first polish is Rimmel London's Salon Pro by Kate, in the shade "Britpop" which is such a fun name! The colour is also absolutely stunning, it's such a rich blue, but is kinda bright at the same time and a borderline dark teal colour. The brush for application is also pretty wide, which makes coverage super easy in only one to two strokes! There's another bonus too- the polish is very shiny even before a top coat! Totally recommend this polish, a
