Metallic Blue Nail Wraps (Part 2)*

*This post contains "Metallic Blue Nail Wraps" sent from LadyQueen in exchange for an honest review. All views are 100% my own!

Hey guys!
If you missed my major fail-ness of Part 1, you can catch up with it right here!

Quick re-cap for those of you who don't wish to read it, or have read it and can't quite remember the going's on. I failed to apply some very shiny blue metallic nail wraps, and was looking for other ways to use them without getting a major bubble, crinkle or wear-down.

And so, this time round, I tried a new approach- cutting shapes and sections from the remaining of the nail wraps, and I think it worked rather well!

The remaining wraps...

To cut nice, even circles I just used a hole punch. If you're super careful, you could even use the leftover, hole-y wrap on a nail and have a cheese-like effect!

Spots, stripes, and a heart!

I also took one of the smallest wraps, and cut it in half down the middle, and then cut near the cuticle-end too. The plan is, it'll fit perfectly on my middle finger with a nice cross shape as a negative space.

So after that bit of snipping with the scissors and hole punch, and a couple of quick coats of Nails Inc's Haymarket (which will be shown in a swatch post very soon), it was time to stick these babies onto my nails. I tried to leave a bit of the plastic around most of them, so it's easier to peel off. My only problem was with the hole-punched circles- they were really fiddly to peel.

Ta-daa!
I would definitely recommend using tweezers if you decide to cut the wraps into shapes, it'd be so much easier to work with instead of twisting my hands round to try and place it without dropping the shape.

But, it worked, yay! I'm really loving the cross-over lines on my pinkie over there, I feel like it's classy, and it reminds me of a ballet shoe for some reason. (I've never done ballet...) I'm also liking the cross-effect on my middle finger, though it's a little out of line- I'd like to try it again at some point.

The heart is cute too, though pretty hard to cut. However, I have a possible solution for you! In my craft days as a younger child I had these punch-stamp-things, which were basically hole punchers but in really cool shapes, like rabbits and hearts and ice creams. So if you can get your hands on one of those, I'm sure that would work pretty well and save you a lot of hassle.

Anyway! You can grab these nail wraps right here, if you're interested in them. I definitely recommend them if you're interested in some cool metallic chrome shapes to pop onto your nails. If you're looking for a full-nail chrome effect, I'd suggest you try a chrome polish first.

Don't forget there's a 15% Off code "HZLC15" which you can quote on checkout too!

Do you have any other ideas of what you can do with nail wraps? Leave me a comment below- I'd love to give other techniques a go!

Another post has come to an end, and I'm sad to see you go away again. But be sure to check back on Friday, where you'll be sure to find a new post on organising your nail polish collection!

See you around!

May Nails Round-Up!

Hey everyone! It's officially the 1st June- yay! That also means that it's the end of my exams (though good luck to anyone who is still cursed with them) and therefore the end of my first year at Uni, which is a little scary and quite a bit 'yippeeee'. It's had ups and downs but I made it to the end, which is the most important thing, right? Aaaaanyway... Since May is over this calls for a round-up of May nails I do believe! There's 9 manis to gawk at today, so I hope you like them and I look forward to seeing June's roundup already.

The Polish Book!

Hey everyone! So a couple of weeks back I did something a little crazy, though totally fun... I swatched all my polishes into a book for easy pickings! Behold... the Polish book!
