Metallic Blue Nail Wraps* (Part 1)

*This post contains "Metallic Blue Nail Wraps" which were supplied in exchange of an honest review from LadyQueen

Hey everyone!

I'm baaaaack! I was gonna take another little break to get my thoughts back on track but after a couple of days of extra consideration I think I'm ready to get back into the swing of things. Life's too short to live in denial that things change and you have to just go with it. And so, here I am, yay!

The item I have to show you today anyway has caused me major issues, which you are about to see. Due to these problems I encountered though, I'm going to put this review in 2 parts. Part 1 (today) is going to be all the issues encountered when trying to use the wraps on full nails. Part 2 (soon) will show what else I'm going to think of to do with them, because they are very pretty!

Here's a quick snap of the item in question anyway. They're your typical nail wraps (although a little more difficult to use, or so I'm finding... It's probably just me though to be honest), but they're oh so shiny. Think chrome effect polish, but with an actual mirror-like appearance, and you get these beauties. You can find them right here if you're interested!

But here's a few problems I've been encountering.

  1. When they start to stick down, they do so very nicely, until the tip of the finger (or the sides sometimes), where a crease appears.
  2. When smoothing out said crease, if you push on the nail wrap too hard with either a nail, or an orange stick, etc, the colour kinda scrapes off a little too.
  3. Said crease does not scrape out without leaving a very frustrating and obvious white crease. (Sigh)
Here's a quick 6th attempt of application. Note the crease near the tip of the nail, and the lifting on the sides despite it actually being a very good fit around those edges.

And yet, it's very disappointing as the colour and mirror-effect is beautiful! Check it out with the flash on:

Over the weekend I'm going to try a few of the tips that other bloggers have suggested on their websites (I'll link to their original post as I try them, too) for full-nail application, and I plan on trying some nail art with them in different shapes and stuffs, so keep an eye out for part 2!
For the above attempt I tried buffing the nail matte before applying the wrap to see if it would stick better (it didn't help).
If you do have any suggestions for improving my issues with these please please please leave a comment below!

Before I go, just a quick reminder that LadyQueen have supplied a 15% Off Coupon Code HZLC15 for all of you lovely people, so be sure to enter that at their checkout when you purchase anything! (Worldwide free shipping!)

Spotted Water Marble!

Hey everyone! :) Today's post is a water marble... with a twist! Instead of a typical swirly marble, this is more of a marble-overlay, with as base colour underneath.
