Life Update 2016 1.0

Here comes the life update I just promised!
Be prepared for... actually not much, but be prepared anyway.

The year kicked off with a lovely trip to Lake Tahoe in California/Nevada (it's on the border), and we celebrated New Year there. On return, exam period commenced with much stress, as it does.

After an extra pinch of stress and house-drama, the partying and semi-relaxing began, with a trip to hand-feed some red deer and see some adorable otters! You have no idea how much I love these animals, they're definitely two of my many favourite species. Also have a bonus picture of a robin, because he looks cool.

This trip was, of course, followed by more drinking, country gig-going, and dissertation writing, which was again closely followed by a lot (I mean lot) of uni work and money-earning work. We also snuck in a quick trip to Alton Towers and to see the new Jungle Book movie, alongside a few other social events and barbecues since the weather was actually nice for some very extremely strange reason.

It also wouldn't be right to go a year without my laptop breaking again, and so it died sometime in April. Bye bye hard drive and wifi chip, again. I ended up saying goodbye to my laptop, and using pretty much my life savings, buy a new one. RIP old laptop.

To make things even better, we also got burgled in May, losing our TV and a bottle of milk... Why they drank a bottle of milk is something we will forever be asking.

And so, I think that brings us up to now - my uni exams are done, my nail course is done and has gone away for assessment, my house mates have moved out and I get to sit here alone for a couple of weeks contemplating life and naily fun things to share with you guys.

In which case, I'm gonna go and do some nails, and catch you very, very soon.
