Life Update ft. New Glasses!*

*This post contains a product that was sent to me in exchange for an honest review. This product is the pair of glasses you see in this post, and any posts which include my face in any future posts. Thanks!

Howdy!

I'm writing this whilst listening to the General Election results. I'm not going to get into politics here though, this is a safe politics-free zone!

I've been semi-missing the past few weeks, I know. Many apologies. However if you follow me on Instagram you'll have seen a couple of posts! And just in case you don't, here they are for you:

First of all actually, I had a little haul from BornPrettyStore, and bought the following stoofs:

And then did ma nails. (That's what I do here, generally after all).

That's all the nail stuff really. I did however, get some awesome new glasses with many thanks to GlassesShop.com! They're super beautiful (and clean unlike my old pair) and I actually haven't worn my contacts since they arrived, which is soooo rare. I usually wear my contacts all the time and only use my glasses if I have to.

Anyway as a nail polish junkie this was the obvious post to make.

Have some more pics of these beautiful lenses though! I chose the frames myself over on their website (this is actually the second pair of glasses I've bought online, and I am very impressed with both companies). GlassesShop.com allow you to upload a photo of yourself onto their website so you can "try" their glasses frames. Then you just pop in your prescription and they send them out to you - suuuuper easy. You can also choose other lens options, including tinted lenses to make prescription sunglasses, transition lenses, and all of the other magical effects that opticians usually offer.

Old (lower) vs new!

You can see above that my taste in glasses has obviously not changed over the past few years.

I'm loving the colour of these too, as the black is professional but the pink kinda makes them 'pop'. Now because I love you wonderful readers, I have teamed up with GlassesShop.com to provide you with 50% off all eyeglasses and sunglasses with free lenses throughout the site! All you gotta do is pick your frames and use the following coupon code (note that sales frames are excluded):
GSHOT50

If you do decide to grab some new glasses from the store don't forget to show me (and the rest of the world!) on social media! I wanna see what you choose!

In the meantime I am going to be super busy trying to fit in some last-minute sights in California before I return to the UK in a few weeks time, so I may fall quiet again. You can follow my adventures on twitter, instagram & facebook though, and I will of course be around to respond to any comments, or emails if you do wish to get in touch :)

I hope you guys have a wonderful few weeks and I will catch up with you all sometime in July if not beforehand!

How To: Gradient Nails

Gradient nails are a great way to ensure that your mani matches your outfit over a set period of days (depending on how many colours you use), and it also just looks pretty dang awesome. You've seen a few of my own mani's where gradients have been used (these ones below, in example), especially those in more recent posts! So a tutorial is definitely long overdue- I hope you find it useful!

Wail: Models Own Hypergel "Blue Glint"

Hello hello, good day to you! :) Welcome to the first ever on-purpose Wednesday Nail post! Freshly nicknamed as... The Wail ! Today's Wail features Models Own's Hypergel in the shade "Blue Glint" ! For those of you who don't know, the Hypergel polishes are fairly new polishes by Models Own, being released in February 2014, and they're polishes which produce a 'Gel' effect... Without the use of UV lamps. (Kinda similar to the Barry M Gelly's, but we'll get onto that in a sec) The colour I went for initially was Red Lustre  but I lucked out by a couple of minutes and it had sold out on the Models Own site just  before I went to buy it. *sniffles* So, instead, I went for the blue, cause you can never have too many blues!
