Mail: OPI Russian Navy Swatch!

I hope you all had a nice week off if you were off-school or work for the half term! And also a nice week off from reading my ramblings over here!
Today I'm kicking off November's posts with one of my favourite OPI's ever. Say hello to "Russian Navy"!



I actually hunted this polish out specifically whenever I saw OPI's being sold, after obtaining a mini of it for a Christmas present a few years back. I finally found it at an airport in Tenerife, and also got my Mam to pay! (yay!)

(Please note that the little bumps you can see in some of these pics, especially on my ring finger, are not part of the polish, but are bits of glitter that I accidentally failed to get off my nails from the last mani. Won't happen again! <3) 


Anyway, as you can see in the photos, it's a stunning, deep blue with flecks of purple and other blue shades when it catches the light. These flecks are caused by teeny tiny shimmer particles in shades of purple and red! They really help bring the polish to life! 
Here are three pics with the flash turned on to help you grasp the colour a little better.




The finish is smooth, shiny and sophisticated, with the very very very slight up-close shimmer. Application is super easy, all pics here are two coats, and removal was super duper quick!


You can (probably/hopefully) pick up a bottle from your local OPI stockist for around £11.

Mail: Rimmel Velvet Matte Midnight Kiss Swatch!

Hello everyone! Before we get started, it's very very nice to see you all here- my hugest apologies for being so bad with posting lately. Moving away from home really takes it out of you, and my Uni's "Welcome Week" timetable was craaazy! Though I got to go to Chester zoo... Which was awesome! Anyway, let's crack on with the post shall we?  Today, I'm bringing to you a recent release and purchase. Rimmel London's "Velvet Matte" polishes were released alongside their new Matte Apocolips range, and a new selection of some "Rimmel by Kate" products!  I purchased three new polishes- two Velvet Matte's in the shade "Midnight Kiss" and "Sumptuous Red" (love the names!) which are a dark blue and pinky-purple, and also a new Salon Pro by Kate called "Saturn" which looks amazing.  Today, I'm swatching Midnight Kiss for you guys, but keep an eye out for the other two coming this week! ...

Get those Jumpers Out!

Before we fully get started here, I'd like to apologise for missing two of my usual posting slots (Friday and Monday) - things have been a little hectic with Uni work and also with looking for a house to live in next year. Thankfully all is sorted with the house now, so I just have this and a ton of uni work to settle for! And on that note- on with the post! So it's creeping well into December, it's feeling pretty Wintery outside... what are you waiting for? Go grab those Christmas jumpers from your wardrobe- or better yet- wear them on your nails!
