Wiki'd Nails: Bridge

Hey everyone!

Today's "Wiki'd Nails" prompt is Bridge. Soooo I chose my favourite/most sentimental bridge- Golden Gate Bridge.

It's often pretty foggy around the area, so I wanted to try and incorporate that onto my nail design.

And so, this is my attempt at a foggy Golden Gate Bridge nail design.

To begin with, I did a slight blue gradient, using Barry M Supersonic, Models Own Blue Glint, and Bourjois Bleu Water, to create a sky-like background. Then using a striper and a detail brush (both of which I need way more practice of using) and Nicole by OPI's American as Apple Pie polish, I painted on the bridge itself. Finally, I added foggy-clouds with a dotting tool and Morgan Taylor's All White Now, before swirling in some grey Leighton Denny Zero Gravity.

So I hope you like my bridge nails- it's been the one challenge prompt so far that I've looked at and had an actual idea of what to do.

I hope you like the design, and don't forget to check out the other participant's nails shown below :)

How To: Gradient Nails

Gradient nails are a great way to ensure that your mani matches your outfit over a set period of days (depending on how many colours you use), and it also just looks pretty dang awesome. You've seen a few of my own mani's where gradients have been used (these ones below, in example), especially those in more recent posts! So a tutorial is definitely long overdue- I hope you find it useful!
