It's Not Fir! - Freckles Polish

Hello!
Yes, really... Hi! I'm back (yipeeeeee).

And today I'm bringing a very green mani to you, as it is my lucky colour and my final exam was today. (Sidenote: I survived another semester of university and another round of exams!)

These beautiful green colours are being provided by Barry M's Gelly Cardamom, and Freckle's polish "It's Not Fir!" (which I'm totally in love with, and the name is so punny that it just adds to my love).

So these gorgeous greens, are kind of a subdued shade, and both are sporting two coats plus a coat of Seche Vite topcoat (hello shine).

Barry M's beauty "Cardamom" is a part of their Autumn collection from way back in 2014, and yet, I think it's one of the first times I have used it. Many regrets as it's so so pretty, and is definitely one of the shinier Gelly polishes I've ever used.

The only way to really describe it is as a dusty green gel-finish polish. It can look a little grey-green at times, but it's definitely predominantly green.

Anyway, "It's Not Fir" is definitely the star of this show, and to make it even better it's a handmade indie polish, by the lovely Freckles Polish. Even more exciting is the polish itself, with pretty holographic qualities to compliment the deep green base colour.

Of course, I'm a sucker for holographic polishes anyway. But this holo is so beautifully unique as it's not too holographic, but is still holographic enough to be eyecatchingly sparkling and different. You can see in some of the images below how it catches the light to produce the typical holographic rainbow spread, within the delightful green.

Anyway, I'm definitely adding these two beauties to my "favourites" pile, and you should add them too! For future posts, that is, near future as posts will become more regular (I have Tuesdays and Wednesdays off uni- yay!), and I'm going to start working my way through my colour wheels (see this post) to swatch them all properly. I also have new polishes, which I will get round to sharing with you all at some point. There will definitely be more posts for you to gawk at though, woo!

And on that note, I leave you with one last picture of good-luck green goodness, and hope you have a great weekend :)

How To: Gradient Nails

Gradient nails are a great way to ensure that your mani matches your outfit over a set period of days (depending on how many colours you use), and it also just looks pretty dang awesome. You've seen a few of my own mani's where gradients have been used (these ones below, in example), especially those in more recent posts! So a tutorial is definitely long overdue- I hope you find it useful!

New Polish and Organisation!

GUESS WHAT GUYS!? My Nails Inc Lucky Dip came, and wow is it just perfect! So what happens with their 'Lucky Dip' is that you get 7 polishes at random for £18, and they only do it like once a season or something. When you think that Nails Inc polishes can range from £11-15, this is a damn good deal! Plus the polishes include new and old ones- it's pretty much whatever they have in their warehouse as far as I understand =)

Make Sure You Follow!

Hey everyone! Apologies for the lack of yesterday's post- unfortunately this one if going to be the last before I go away tomorrow. I'm not 100% sure if there'll be wifi at the place we're staying (we're going to study the animals after all, not to be social over the internet), but just in case there is, you should make sure that you're following me on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook! I'll try to post at least one image or update on each per day, assuming that we have wifi, so to be a part of this adventure, make sure you hit the buttons!
