Ye Olde Valentines Mani!

Now as we all know, Valentine's Day is just around the corner... Whether you're single or in a relationship, it's still gonna happen, and either way you can make the most out of the 'holiday'!

Personally, I'm probably going to sit in my room, sleep, and paint my nails, before heading out to the shops on Sunday when all of the chocolate is discounted!

Before I start throwing some pics at you, I'd like to remind you that you can click on the images to see a larger version of them- you may wish to do this on some of these pics as some of the stamping has quite a bit of detail in it :)

So, for this mani (and please excuse my really bad clean-up job, that red polish is pretty stubborn!), I went for a slightly old-fashioned look, but tried to keep it romantic-looking too.

As you guessed, it's a stamping mani, with an added gem too! I used a cute little Eiffel Tower stamp on my thumb, since you just can't say romance without thinking of Paris, can you? I also stamped a couple of roses, which look pretty cute! The depth that the stamping image gave was pretty impressive to me.

On my middle finger I thought I should incorporate a bit more of the typical lovey-dovey Valentines stuff, so grabbed a pretty little frame-stamping image (just look at that detail!) and added one of the holographic heart studs in the centre. To stick it down I just used the top coat- stick- top coat technique

The two colours I used for this mani were Nails Inc Gel Effect in "Victoria" for the base, and Models Own "Chrome Rose" from their Colour Chrome collection for the stamping.

This rose design came from Born Pretty Store's plate BP-40.

These two images came from plate QA91, which you can also grab from Born Pretty.

And this lovely Eiffel Tower image came from plate BP36, which is one of Born Pretty's newest plates!

The nail studs also came from... you guessed it, Born Pretty Store- they have a huge selection which you can find right here and don't forget, you can also get 10% off any full priced items by using the discount code REEG10 - and there's also free Worldwide shipping! I seriously love that site so much haha, and just to clarify, all of these items were bought with my own money.

Also I'd like to point out that my stamping didn't go particularly greatly, but, I decided that I liked how the images were coming out a little... not-perfect. I felt that it kinda added to the old-fashioned style of nails I was going for!

If anyone out there recreates this mani I'd love to see it! What are your plans for Valentines Day? Do you have a mani all ready for it, too? Drop me a comment below!

The Random Sunday Post!

Hello everyone! This is a super quick random post just to say I'm back and also what will be coming up this week! So, I'm still due a Blue Nails post for the British Nail Blogger's Colour Me Crazy Challenge- this will be up tomorrow instead of a Book/Lifestyle post! From Wednesday, the normal posts will resume, so you can expect a Pink Mani on this day for this week's challenge nails! Then on Thursday, it's A Level results day, which means a lot of nervous stressy things to sort out, and I may not have time to write up a post in time for Friday- but I will definitely try, and also update you all in my potential University place! If there is a post on Friday, it'll be a typical naily post- probably a swatch of something! And that is all I think you need to know! Good Luck to anyone else getting results on Thursday! ~Rachel

Your Guide to Barry M Gelly's!

Finally , the time has come for the ever-promised "Barry M Gelly Polishes Review & Swatch" Post! YAY! Now, now, settle down, settle down, and prepare yourself for an image-heavy post! Panorama View? Yes please... Okay, so that picture isn't too great. But there's the colours that between us (Me and Rhian) have in the Gelly range. We're only missing "Grapefruit" I think...

Wail: Birthday Blue!

Hi everyone! So it was my 18th birthday yesterday, hence why this post is a little late! But I have a fun post for you all to enjoy :) Introducing to you- my birthday mani! I love love love these polishes- I think I've only used them once each, but wow, they're just amazing and I definitely need to use them more. Apologies for the little bit of tip-wear, it's been on since Saturday (so, 5 days between application and the picture taking!) so the wear on these polishes is actually very good! The first polish is Rimmel London's Salon Pro by Kate, in the shade "Britpop" which is such a fun name! The colour is also absolutely stunning, it's such a rich blue, but is kinda bright at the same time and a borderline dark teal colour. The brush for application is also pretty wide, which makes coverage super easy in only one to two strokes! There's another bonus too- the polish is very shiny even before a top coat! Totally recommend this polish, a
