Pandas!

Hello dears!
I have a totally adorable mani for you all today, alongside a cause that as a zoologist lies pretty close to my heart. Behold, the panda mani!

As most of you probably know, the giant panda is an endangered species (yet is definitely one of the most adorable animals on the planet), and is mostly endangered due to our own interference as we destroyed their habitat and food source.

Do you really want these little fellas to become extinct? The WWF page has more info on these beauties, and even a donation page if you're feeling generous today. Anyway... back to the nails!

These adorable guys are actually water decals from none other than Born Pretty Store! They were really easy to apply, you just slide them off their backing and onto your nail and voila- cute panda goodness.

However, as you can probably tell, they are pretty large, so if you have small nail beds and/or short nails, you may not be able to fit the whole panda decal onto your nail... (Though, they would be just as cute with a little panda head peaking from the tip of your nail!)

Models Own Colour Chrome Green was used for this base- I used two coats of it this time over a bare nail, as the last time I used the Colour Chrome polishes I stuck with one coat and it chipped super quickly. The extra coat definitely improved the amount of time the mani lasted- I think I ended up wearing this one for almost a week!

I loved these decals so, so much that I actually went back online and ordered some more almost straight away. You get 16 pandas and 8 bamboo sticks per sheet, and for only £1.20 I'd say that's a pretty good deal.

Also, don't forget you can use the code "REEG10" at the checkout on Born Pretty Store to get 10% off any full-price items in your basket! (You could even use the 10% saving to donate to the pandas!)

I hope you love this mani as much as I do! I can't get over the cuteness of these decals and can't wait until more arrive!

As always, let me know what you think in the comments!

See you Friday!

The Random Sunday Post!

Hello everyone! This is a super quick random post just to say I'm back and also what will be coming up this week! So, I'm still due a Blue Nails post for the British Nail Blogger's Colour Me Crazy Challenge- this will be up tomorrow instead of a Book/Lifestyle post! From Wednesday, the normal posts will resume, so you can expect a Pink Mani on this day for this week's challenge nails! Then on Thursday, it's A Level results day, which means a lot of nervous stressy things to sort out, and I may not have time to write up a post in time for Friday- but I will definitely try, and also update you all in my potential University place! If there is a post on Friday, it'll be a typical naily post- probably a swatch of something! And that is all I think you need to know! Good Luck to anyone else getting results on Thursday! ~Rachel

Wail: Birthday Blue!

Hi everyone! So it was my 18th birthday yesterday, hence why this post is a little late! But I have a fun post for you all to enjoy :) Introducing to you- my birthday mani! I love love love these polishes- I think I've only used them once each, but wow, they're just amazing and I definitely need to use them more. Apologies for the little bit of tip-wear, it's been on since Saturday (so, 5 days between application and the picture taking!) so the wear on these polishes is actually very good! The first polish is Rimmel London's Salon Pro by Kate, in the shade "Britpop" which is such a fun name! The colour is also absolutely stunning, it's such a rich blue, but is kinda bright at the same time and a borderline dark teal colour. The brush for application is also pretty wide, which makes coverage super easy in only one to two strokes! There's another bonus too- the polish is very shiny even before a top coat! Totally recommend this polish, a

Your Guide to Barry M Gelly's!

Finally , the time has come for the ever-promised "Barry M Gelly Polishes Review & Swatch" Post! YAY! Now, now, settle down, settle down, and prepare yourself for an image-heavy post! Panorama View? Yes please... Okay, so that picture isn't too great. But there's the colours that between us (Me and Rhian) have in the Gelly range. We're only missing "Grapefruit" I think...
