Nailing Around: McFly!

It's time for a little introduction to a new kind of blogpost- "Nailing Around"
I'll be posting pictures of my nails if I ever do some cool designs to go to certain places (like gigs and concerts and what not) or if I just go anywhere pretty awesome generally :)

So for my first Nailing Around post, I want to introduce you to the band Mcfly!
Definitely my favourite band of all time, hands down, no competition. Me and two of my friends went to see them in April :) April 25th! :D

To celebrate the occasion, I painted and designed some falsies for two of us to wear, featuring the McFly "M" and also the four band member's badge designs.
Here's the fella's badge designs, taken from McFly.com (copyright all to them).

Harry
Tom
Danny
Dougie
Here's my design!

Colours used are: Thumb Nail- OPI Russian Navy;  Dougie Nail (Red)- OPI Cha-Ching Cherry; Harry Nail (Orange)- Barry M Gelly Satsuma; Tom Nail (Green)- Barry M Spring Green; Danny Nail (Blue)- Barry M Gelly Watermelon
For the details: The "M" on the thumb is done with Barry M Silver Nail Art Pen, and the other designs are done with Barry M White Nail Art Pen. Now these pens are good, but make sure you give them a good shake and a good 'blot' on paper before drawing on your nails. And make sure that your under colour is dry too, otherwise the pen might drag the colour a bit :)

And now I leave you with more pictures! Yay! :D
(You can click on them to make them bigger if you wanna see better ^^')

Do you like the idea of this design and want to create it yourself? Go ahead! Just send me some of your pictures so I can see your pretty effects! :D Email them to rachelastar96@gmail.com or tweet them to @Nail_Parade

Thanks for reading, see you soon! xxx

How To: Gradient Nails

Gradient nails are a great way to ensure that your mani matches your outfit over a set period of days (depending on how many colours you use), and it also just looks pretty dang awesome. You've seen a few of my own mani's where gradients have been used (these ones below, in example), especially those in more recent posts! So a tutorial is definitely long overdue- I hope you find it useful!

Wail: Models Own Hypergel "Blue Glint"

Hello hello, good day to you! :) Welcome to the first ever on-purpose Wednesday Nail post! Freshly nicknamed as... The Wail ! Today's Wail features Models Own's Hypergel in the shade "Blue Glint" ! For those of you who don't know, the Hypergel polishes are fairly new polishes by Models Own, being released in February 2014, and they're polishes which produce a 'Gel' effect... Without the use of UV lamps. (Kinda similar to the Barry M Gelly's, but we'll get onto that in a sec) The colour I went for initially was Red Lustre  but I lucked out by a couple of minutes and it had sold out on the Models Own site just  before I went to buy it. *sniffles* So, instead, I went for the blue, cause you can never have too many blues!

Make Sure You Follow!

Hey everyone! Apologies for the lack of yesterday's post- unfortunately this one if going to be the last before I go away tomorrow. I'm not 100% sure if there'll be wifi at the place we're staying (we're going to study the animals after all, not to be social over the internet), but just in case there is, you should make sure that you're following me on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook! I'll try to post at least one image or update on each per day, assuming that we have wifi, so to be a part of this adventure, make sure you hit the buttons!
