My Claws are on Fire!

Hey everyone, hope you had a lovely week!

Today's post was technically supposed to be up yesterday, but I was too tired on Thursday night and my Friday's are busy busy (plus, I got ill around lunchtime, so I ended up spending half the day in bed...) Anyway, the post is here now so none of that matters :)

Today I'm going to share with you a stunning red polish and a teensy bit of nail art too. So first of all, the polish...
Meet Models Own's Diamond Luxe "Heart Red" and my freshly shaped stiletto/claw nails!

Heart Red is a beautiful vibrant red polish with the usual Diamond Luxe shimmery feature.

It literally matches the colour of the bottle, so if you see it in stores, you won't be surprised when you cover your nails.

As you can see in these pics, it catches the light perfectly, and the little shimmers appear golden.

Overall this polish could resemble many things, but my main thoughts was "rubies" when I was applying it- though I can see it being associated with many other things.

It's a very classic colour that could just tie an outfit together with a pop of colour, and also that would match well with a bright red lipstick. It's also a darn good colour ready for Halloween- it's just screaming vampire at me!

Another thing it screamed to me was "fire"! So, I made some pin-marble flames for the tips of my talons!

Pin marbling is super duper easy to do, and I have a tutorial right here! And also a more specific post on the flames, here!

The parker polish here is Nails Inc's "Richmond Terrace" and here's a lighter brown in there too, which is Barry M Gelly "Paprika"

So there we have it... My claws on fire!

I hope you enjoyed this post, I'd love to know what you think of the polish, design and my new nail shape, so don't forget to drop me a comment!
See you all on Monday!

How To: Gradient Nails

Gradient nails are a great way to ensure that your mani matches your outfit over a set period of days (depending on how many colours you use), and it also just looks pretty dang awesome. You've seen a few of my own mani's where gradients have been used (these ones below, in example), especially those in more recent posts! So a tutorial is definitely long overdue- I hope you find it useful!

Wail: Models Own Hypergel "Blue Glint"

Hello hello, good day to you! :) Welcome to the first ever on-purpose Wednesday Nail post! Freshly nicknamed as... The Wail ! Today's Wail features Models Own's Hypergel in the shade "Blue Glint" ! For those of you who don't know, the Hypergel polishes are fairly new polishes by Models Own, being released in February 2014, and they're polishes which produce a 'Gel' effect... Without the use of UV lamps. (Kinda similar to the Barry M Gelly's, but we'll get onto that in a sec) The colour I went for initially was Red Lustre  but I lucked out by a couple of minutes and it had sold out on the Models Own site just  before I went to buy it. *sniffles* So, instead, I went for the blue, cause you can never have too many blues!

Mail: Messy Mani

Hello! Let it be known that from this day forth, any nail posts posted on Mondays shall be known as "Mail's". Yay! For the first "Mail" post, I'm going to be sharing one of my new purchases with you... Model's Own's "Erase" Corrector Pen! I feel like this could be a major turning point in my blog's image quality, as I no longer have an excuse for messy mani's.  Though I'd first like to point out that I feel like I have come quite far since the beginning of my blog, and no longer post images such as this... I mean, just look at that thumb!? (Polish is Barry M Spring Green) ...Except for today, I'm posting a very (purposefully) messy mani, to show you how the corrector pen can work! Also please keep in mind that I actually did this mani pretty much in the dark, around midnight the other day. :D I quite enjoyed being super careless with my painting, actually. Is that wrong of me? Also, you m...
