I'm going to Africa!!

Ahhhhhhh oh em gee hi!

As you can tell by the post title, I'm going to Africa! Which part? South Africa! Oh yes! I'm super duper excited- I leave on Friday, and I've managed to gather a whopping two guest posts to fill in while I'm not here, so I'm afraid the blog will be a bit droopy for 10 days while I'm away, but I promise to bring back many, many hopefully adorable/amazing images for you all. (I'm so excited!)

To mark the occasion/announce it to you all, I used some full-nail water decals featuring some adorable leopards, so here they are!

As a base coat, I used Leighton Denny's "Opaque Elegance" which I'm pretty sure is the only nude polish in my entire collection, but it is gorgeous and likes being alone! Anyway... The nude polish really helped all the colours in the decal pop, as well as create a nice neutral base colour for all those transparent sections, so it was definitely a good colour choice!

The little flickers of glitter that you can see are also on the decal- I didn't paint them on! They help to add another dimension to the mani, and a cute little bit of bling too. The thumb decal is adorable too, it's like a prowling leopard, whereas the ring finger decal is more focused on the facial area.

The detail on these is seriously incredible for such a small area of space and I am definitely going to order more of them next time I put in a Born Pretty Store order! They were only around £1, and just as easy as any other water decals, as long as you're patient and use polish underneath them! :)

I'll be back on Wednesday and then again on Friday, so I'll update you on what the plan is while I'm away then- for now, I shall see you Wednesday!

Your Guide to Barry M Gelly's!

Finally , the time has come for the ever-promised "Barry M Gelly Polishes Review & Swatch" Post! YAY! Now, now, settle down, settle down, and prepare yourself for an image-heavy post! Panorama View? Yes please... Okay, so that picture isn't too great. But there's the colours that between us (Me and Rhian) have in the Gelly range. We're only missing "Grapefruit" I think...

How To: Gradient Nails

Gradient nails are a great way to ensure that your mani matches your outfit over a set period of days (depending on how many colours you use), and it also just looks pretty dang awesome. You've seen a few of my own mani's where gradients have been used (these ones below, in example), especially those in more recent posts! So a tutorial is definitely long overdue- I hope you find it useful!
