Did Somebody Lose a Phoenix?...

... I found some of its feathers!

Hey everyone!

Today, as you can probably see, I have some gold feather water decals to show you all! These are super cute yet pretty sophisticated too and would probably be good for a special event.

I used two polishes here- Models Own's Colour Chrome Indio, and China Glaze's Bend Over Backwards.

As beautiful as the Models Own polish is, I really don't think it works too well with the metallic gold of the decals, and creates a bit of a contrasting shine with it (fail!) but it still looks okay enough!

I am however, loving, the red/orange paired with the gold, it's so beautiful and almost Chinese-New-Years-y! Where's the year of the rooster when you need it!? Anyway it's a beautiful decal, especially with the detail in each individual feather piece!

The two varying designs are gorgeous too, I would definitely buy them again! Which is a good job really cause I have a pack of silver ones stuffed away somewhere too!
I grabbed these from none other than Born Pretty Store, and you can grab the polishes on Models Own's site, and Nail Polish Direct.

I hope you love the feathers as much as I do!
Tomorrow you're in for a Stark-filled treat, with a zip mani coming up on Friday! Have a great week!

How To: Gradient Nails

Gradient nails are a great way to ensure that your mani matches your outfit over a set period of days (depending on how many colours you use), and it also just looks pretty dang awesome. You've seen a few of my own mani's where gradients have been used (these ones below, in example), especially those in more recent posts! So a tutorial is definitely long overdue- I hope you find it useful!
