GoT: House Targaryen!

Haiiiii everyone!

So it's technically Thursday right now but I'm gonna skim over that and point out that it's a "The Fandoms Strike Back!" Game of Thrones day today!

Today's post is focussing on my second favourite House of the series... House Targaryen!
(Cue sassy dragons... or sassy dragon nails?)

Now I'm not as talented as some of those amazing nail bloggers are with their paintbrushes, so I stuck to a silhouette of a dragon, but I still love the way it turned out.

The bright red base (or the "Fire") is Nicole by OPI's "American as Apple Pie" from their Carrie Underwood collection. The dragon (or "blood") is Nails Inc's "Victoria" in their Gel Effect range. It also comes as a normal polish colour though!

I also smeared a little bit of a "T" onto my thumb nail for Targaryen! Yay!

To do this silhouette dragon then, I just used a simple detail brush with my polish and ended up going over parts in a few layers. It honestly doesn't look this patchy in person but due to the delightful weather today I had to use my camera's flash to get crisp pictures. I still like it anyway!

So what do you think of these? Which House are you routing for?
Also, bonus points to anyone who can answer the following question...
What does Daenerys call her three dragons in the series? (No cheating!)

Answers will be revealed in the next GoT post! See you around ;)

Finally , the time has come for the ever-promised "Barry M Gelly Polishes Review & Swatch" Post! YAY! Now, now, settle down, settle down, and prepare yourself for an image-heavy post! Panorama View? Yes please... Okay, so that picture isn't too great. But there's the colours that between us (Me and Rhian) have in the Gelly range. We're only missing "Grapefruit" I think...

How To: Gradient Nails

Gradient nails are a great way to ensure that your mani matches your outfit over a set period of days (depending on how many colours you use), and it also just looks pretty dang awesome. You've seen a few of my own mani's where gradients have been used (these ones below, in example), especially those in more recent posts! So a tutorial is definitely long overdue- I hope you find it useful!
