LiL Challenge: Tv/Film Inspired!

Today's prompt from Life in Lacquer is "Tv/Film Inspired!"

After bouncing a few ideas off Sarah, I settled on a Marvel theme... Which turned into a Thor-theme.... Which turned into Loki.
Ah, Loki, I love you.

Actually, I think I love Tom Hiddleston (*swoon*)... But Loki is pretty dang amazing!
Anyway, back to the nails!

This was my first attempt on free-hand nail art like... ever.... And I got a little carried away on the pinkie!
But overall, I'm quite proud of this mani, so I took lots of pics to spam you with!

So may main aim here was to capture the horns, which I attempted on my index and ring fingers, and also to get a bit of a pic of his face with the start of his helmet-horn...thing.

The base polish I used here was Barry M Emerald, which is super pretty as you can see! It's definitely a favourite of mine!
Other polishes used include Barry M Gold Foil Effect, Barry M Textured Glitter Majesty and a Black Striper.

Since he's an evil guy, I decided he didn't deserve a nose :P (Just kidding, I wasn't sure how to do one hehe)

And here's my friend Sarah's mani for the day! It's a super cute Minnie Mouse mani!

She's done some cute classic-Minnie spots, with a highlight nail of white with a Minnie Mouse sticker! How cute!?

So that's all for today! Tomorrow I'll have a special 'Fridail' where I'm taking part in a colour challenge that some of the British Nail Bloggers are taking part in!
You can catch the next LiL Challnge prompt- dots- on here on Tuesday!
Thanks for reading!

Your Guide to Barry M Gelly's!

Finally , the time has come for the ever-promised "Barry M Gelly Polishes Review & Swatch" Post! YAY! Now, now, settle down, settle down, and prepare yourself for an image-heavy post! Panorama View? Yes please... Okay, so that picture isn't too great. But there's the colours that between us (Me and Rhian) have in the Gelly range. We're only missing "Grapefruit" I think...

How To: Gradient Nails

Gradient nails are a great way to ensure that your mani matches your outfit over a set period of days (depending on how many colours you use), and it also just looks pretty dang awesome. You've seen a few of my own mani's where gradients have been used (these ones below, in example), especially those in more recent posts! So a tutorial is definitely long overdue- I hope you find it useful!
