Wail: Chloe's turn!

Hi guys! Today I'm bringing you the second (and last) of the guest posts for you. This one is by Chloe from Tipped Off Nails! Here she is...
------------------------------------
Hello :)

My first guest post! Yippee.
Let's get to it. I wanted to do the 31 day challenge that chalkboard nails (Instagram) does every year. I started it on the 1st and only got to day 3 before I realised I just couldn't do it. But I want to show you the 3 I DID do. They were a challenge for me because they were red, orange and yellow - the three colours I have 1 or 2 of each...

Anyway, I decided to do fruit themed and I was going to continue this for all of the colour category but... Yeah I failed. :(

First up are my Red Nails:

I decided to go for strawberries and cream because although summer is officially over now, I'm not going to forget them! I used all Barry M Gelly polishes for this (as usual) in Rose Hip, Pomegranate, Coconut and Key Lime. The white is Matt white, also Barry M.

Next are my orange nails:

I struggled with this one because I only own 1 orange and then a peachy orangey colour - which I decided to use for my Grapefruit design. I used Barry M Guava, Matte White and their flaky topcoat and So Susan Strawberry, which is a jelly polish.

Finally, my yellow nails:

Again, I only own 1 normal (well, neon) yellow and the neon glitter from Yes Love. Obviously I had to do lemons using life gave me lemons from OPI.

Not my favourite mani ever! I wish I could've continued this! But I'm just too busy- green was going to be watermelon, blue blueberries and violet is still yet to be decided. Maybe I'll do them sometime in the future!

Wow, thanks Chloe! Those nails look so nice, they've made me hungry. I hope they had the same effect on everyone else! :)
Hopefully we'll see Chloe again soon, but in the mean time, you should check out her blog- Tipped Off Nails- which is linked at the top of the post!
I'll try and pop a quick post on here on Friday or Saturday to update you all on what's going on, but apart from that, I'll see you all properly next Wednesday!
Have a great week!

How To: Gradient Nails

Gradient nails are a great way to ensure that your mani matches your outfit over a set period of days (depending on how many colours you use), and it also just looks pretty dang awesome. You've seen a few of my own mani's where gradients have been used (these ones below, in example), especially those in more recent posts! So a tutorial is definitely long overdue- I hope you find it useful!

Make Sure You Follow!

Hey everyone! Apologies for the lack of yesterday's post- unfortunately this one if going to be the last before I go away tomorrow. I'm not 100% sure if there'll be wifi at the place we're staying (we're going to study the animals after all, not to be social over the internet), but just in case there is, you should make sure that you're following me on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook! I'll try to post at least one image or update on each per day, assuming that we have wifi, so to be a part of this adventure, make sure you hit the buttons!

Wail: Models Own Hypergel "Blue Glint"

Hello hello, good day to you! :) Welcome to the first ever on-purpose Wednesday Nail post! Freshly nicknamed as... The Wail ! Today's Wail features Models Own's Hypergel in the shade "Blue Glint" ! For those of you who don't know, the Hypergel polishes are fairly new polishes by Models Own, being released in February 2014, and they're polishes which produce a 'Gel' effect... Without the use of UV lamps. (Kinda similar to the Barry M Gelly's, but we'll get onto that in a sec) The colour I went for initially was Red Lustre  but I lucked out by a couple of minutes and it had sold out on the Models Own site just  before I went to buy it. *sniffles* So, instead, I went for the blue, cause you can never have too many blues!
