LiL Challenge: Pink!

Hey everyone! Yesterday was the second round of Life in Lacquer's nail art challenge and the theme was pink!

So here is my mani!

The pale pink polish is Nails Inc's "South Molton Street" with the bright/hot pink slightly shimmery polish of Barry M's summer limited edition "Promenade" from Superdrug.

The lid on this polish is just far too adorable! And this effect is really easy and simple to do- you just paint your nails one colour, wait until it's fully dry and then add some strips of tape to your nails before painting over them in your other polish. Simples!

My friend Sarah also took part in today's prompt!
Here's her mani- using a pale pink Barry M Gelly "Dragon/Dragonfruit", Barry M Textured Glitter "Duchess" and some cute little nail stickers!

How adorable? :D
So that's all for the pink prompt of the challenge- I'm excited to show off my nails for the next one, which you'll be able to see here on Thursday!
Thanks for reading!

1.5 Year Giveaway!!

Hello everyone! As you may, or may not, have seen, it was Nail Parade's official 1.5 Year Blogiversary on Wednesday! So to celebrate, you're getting the chance to win a whole load of naily goodness.

How To: Gradient Nails

Gradient nails are a great way to ensure that your mani matches your outfit over a set period of days (depending on how many colours you use), and it also just looks pretty dang awesome. You've seen a few of my own mani's where gradients have been used (these ones below, in example), especially those in more recent posts! So a tutorial is definitely long overdue- I hope you find it useful!

Meadow and Tree Nails

These nails are definitely one for any time of year- make them spooky for halloween with a dark and red background with creepy spiny black trees, or use icy blues and white colours with a bit of silver shimmer to represent a snowy Winter scene, or even soft pastel blues and a golden sun with lush green grass and fully bloomed trees during the Spring and Summer seasons- it's entirely up to you! Here's a quick little tutorial on how to do them ^^
